The Mayor of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman:
This is a red card for Donald Tusk's government. First of all, the last year and a half or more has been assessed in precisely this way. And I am not surprised at all. Because, for example, what happened during the flood and what happened after the flood—that is a red card. Secondly, it seems that, apart from the large cities and the northwestern part of Poland, candidate Karol Nawrocki won in a huge number of municipalities. If the coalition continues to govern so ineptly, this could lead to early elections.
The October 15 or December 13 coalition squandered its victory. I am not objective here, but I did not expect such ineptitude when it came to managing the flood and its aftermath. They are simply inept.
Despite the attacks on Karol Nawrocki—whether fair or unfair—he rose again like a phoenix from the ashes. And this was despite mistakes in the campaign, because after all, it would have been possible to present this candidate as Poland's J.D. Vance.
This is certainly a great surprise for various elites. Let us hope that it will be a reason for deep reflection.
Bolesławiec County Executive Tomasz Gabrysiak did not want to comment on the presidential election in detail. However, he stated:
We must respect the choice of the Polish people. Let us hope that the political situation will stabilize.
