The mayor of Nowogrodziec, Joanna Świder, responded to the matter, writing:
Safety at the intersection of Słowackiego and Ołdrzychowska Streets – we are taking action after another incident!
Following another dangerous incident at the notorious intersection of Słowackiego and Oldrzychowska Streets, an urgent meeting was held today with Mr Tadeusz Prochownik from the Bolesławiec County Roads Authority.
We have established a specific action plan for the coming weeks to improve the safety of all users of this critical location.
We will provide regular updates on the progress and results, because safety in our municipality is a priority that we will not neglect!
Update
According to the Bolesławiec police, the driver of the Opel, a 39-year-old woman from Zgorzelec, failed to yield the right of way to the Jeep. The offender was fined PLN 1,100.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 21, before 8:00 a.m., in Nowogrodziec. As the Nowogrodziec firefighters wrote:
Another collision at the notorious Chrobrego#Słowackiego intersection.
They added: – Will the road authorities finally take some action?
Fortunately, no one suffered anything serious. The police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
