On 12 May 2025, Bolesławiec County governor Tomasz Gabrysiak met with Magdalena Czafurska-Dziak, head of the catchment area division of the State Water Holding Polish Waters in Lwówek Śląski. Bolesławiec County Office: – The talks focused on details concerning the implementation of a project involving the repair of flood embankments in Bolesławiec County.
The office adds: – The meeting continued the actions undertaken by the Bolesławiec County governor, who repeatedly submitted requests to Polish Waters for urgent repair works. They concerned damaged embankments in Golnice, Trzebień and Parkoszów, which suffered extensive damage as a result of the flood in September 2024.
It further explains: – As a result of his consistent efforts to ensure the safety of county residents, the Bolesławiec County governor submitted an application to the County Building Supervision Inspector, who issued an administrative decision on 28 March ordering the repair of the damaged embankments. In response to these actions, the State Water Holding Polish Waters announced a tender on 9 May for the completion of repair works. The deadline for submitting bids is 26 May.
