The incident occurred on May 8, before 7:00 a.m., in Włodzice Wielkie. A reader from Bolesławiec informed us about it, stating that a BMW “pulled out in front of him”:
He pulled out in front of me, but I swerved. He swerved too. Then he skidded; I saw in the mirror that he lost traction.
As determined by police officers from Lwówek, the driver of the BMW, a 20-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, decided to overtake in a prohibited place. When he realized that he would not manage to complete the maneuver, he tried to return to his lane. That was when he lost control of the vehicle. The BMW left the road.
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. The offender was sober and was fined.
The police appeal for prudence and caution on the road.
