The incident occurred on Monday evening. An unexploded ordnance item was found near Dębowy Gaj (Lwówek Śląski municipality). As lwowecki.info reports:
A Lwówek police patrol was dispatched to the scene immediately. An officer from the Non-Established Mine and Pyrotechnic Reconnaissance Group was also sent there. It was initially confirmed that the object was an artillery shell.
The dangerous find was dealt with by soldiers from the Bolesławiec Bomb Disposal Patrol of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment.
