On 15 April 2025, fire-protection exercises organized by the 43rd Military Economic Division named after Maj. Gen. Klemens Stanisław Rudnicki were held at the Trzebień Training Area of the Land Forces.
As reported by the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service:
The event was attended by the Lower Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service in Wrocław, Brig. Gen. Marek Hajduk, the County Commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, Senior Brig. Andrzej Śliwowski, the Commander of the 43rd Military Economic Division, Col. Edward Kosałka, as well as invited guests and representatives of the US military. The presence of senior representatives of the State Fire Service and allied armed forces underscores the importance of joint action and cooperation between the services.
The report adds: “The aim of the exercises was to test the services’ readiness in the event of a real fire threat and their coordinated response in crisis situations. The scenario involved a fire alarm and rescue operations conducted under conditions as close to reality as possible.
