This is the only event of its kind in Poland aimed exclusively at vocal groups. The head of this year’s Jury will be Tomasz Szczepanik – vocalist of the band Pectus!
In 2024, during the first edition, eight groups performed here, and the Jury included, among others, the outstanding vocalist Kasia Wilk. This year’s Festival will take place on 9–10 April at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec, and we are increasing the number of groups taking part in the competition to ten.
Vocal groups from Jawor, Słubice, Zduńska Wola, Świdnica, Rybnik, Bielawa, Leszno and Bolesławiec will compete for attractive prizes funded by the Honorary Patron – the Bolesławiec County Starost Tomasz Gabrysiak. In addition to the competition, which will take place on Wednesday, 9 April, participants will take part in vocal workshops with the Jury members and perform at the Final Concert, to which we invite you at the Old Theatre on Thursday, 10 April, at 7:00 p.m..
We can reveal a little secret and assure you already that during the Final Concert, the combined voices of all ten groups will sing one of PECTUS’s songs!
This year’s Jury
👉Tomasz Szczepanik (chairman) – vocalist and leader of PECTUS! We probably do not need to introduce this artist to anyone; it is enough to recall that Pectus has released seven albums, and their hits, such as “Jeden moment”, “To co chciałbym Ci dać” and “Barcelona”, are known throughout Poland.
👉Emilia Hamerlik – jazz vocalist and lecturer at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, winner of numerous awards at international competitions, including the Łucja Prus Song Festival, the “Hoffer Superhit Działdowo” National Song Festival and the “Pamiętajmy o Osieckiej” Song Competition. A multiple scholarship recipient of the “zDolny Śląsk” programme and the Orlen Foundation. For years, she has shared her knowledge and experience with young vocal artists during various music workshops. In 2021, she was invited by the Pomeranian Philharmonic to Adam Sztaba’s “Orchestra4Young” project.
👉Daniel Grupa – pianist, composer and arranger. For many years, he has collaborated with artists from the Polish and international music scenes, including Renata Przemyk, Małgorzata Ostrowska, Anna Wyszkoni, Stanisław Soyka, Piotr Cugowski and Virgil Donati. Composer of film, theatre and radio-play music. Since 2011, artistic director of the Fryderyk Chopin Music Festival in Sulechów.
