What is currently happening in the forests is unprecedented, unusual and astonishing. Spring has barely begun, yet we are experiencing such a huge flush of typically autumn mushrooms. King boletes have taken over the forests of Lower Silesia, including, of course, the Lower Silesian Forests.
There are so many mushrooms that you need to bring spare baskets and bags. You may come across a spot with even several dozen fruiting bodies. Foresters, mycologists and the lucky people who have recently ventured into the forest are shaking their heads in disbelief. We have never seen anything like this here before.
If you have made it this far in the article, we would like to inform you that today is April 1, and everything you have read and seen above is, of course, a joke for April Fools' Day. 😉 We will have to wait until autumn for such a flush of king boletes.
