On March 24, 2025, an exciting competition in pre-medical aid was held for third-grade students from upper-secondary schools. The event was organized by Fundacja Wspierajmy Zdrowie in cooperation with Bolesławiec County. The aim of the competition was not only to test students’ knowledge and skills in providing pre-medical aid, but also to promote a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness of life-saving skills.

The “Together we can do more – first aid without secrets” competition brought together students from schools across the county, who competed in a variety of practical and theoretical events. Participants answered questions about the principles of first aid, identified situations requiring intervention, and carried out practical exercises involving cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of a defibrillator.

The award ceremony was held in the presence of the Bolesławiec County Starost Tomasz Gabrysiak and Deputy Bolesławiec County Starost Patryk Hałka.

The competition was very closely fought, and the final podium places went to:

  • First place was won by a team from Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych consisting of: Krystian Bochenek, Igor Michaluk, Jakub Żak.
  • Second place went to II Liceum Ogólnokształcące: Sylwia Makieła, Nikola Pawłowicz, Mikołaj Kasiedczak.
  • Third place went to students from I Liceum Ogólnokształcące: Julia Halewicz, Martyna Cieśla, Małgorzata Mól.

Both participants and organizers emphasized how important it is to have knowledge of first aid and the ability to apply it in practice. The event attracted great interest among young people, and its purpose was not only competition, but above all learning skills that can save lives.
