On Monday, a press conference concerning funding for the project “Support for the development of long-term or geriatric care through the modernization of the infrastructure of healthcare entities at the county level. Investment D4.1.1,” implemented at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec, was held in the office of the Director of St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec.
Secretary of State Piotr Borys took part in the conference and presented details concerning the funds awarded from the National Recovery Plan, financed by European funds.
The hospital applied for PLN 20,000,000.00 in funding. The total cost of the project is PLN 24,285,000.00, while the value of eligible expenditure amounts to PLN 19,757,335.70.
The KPO funds awarded to county hospitals are intended to better meet the healthcare needs of seniors and people who require constant care in the region. For patients, this means tangible benefits – the removal of architectural barriers, the replacement of beds and the equipping of rooms with modern equipment, including electric beds, beds for people with obesity, anti-bedsore mattresses and devices supporting the care of patients with limited mobility, such as ceiling lifts, mobile lifts and transport wheelchairs.
Training for medical staff is also planned, which will improve their competences in long-term and geriatric care.
