Work is underway on the construction of the Bolesławiec–Trzebień pedestrian and cycling path. The path will run along a former railway route passing through Kraśnik Dolny, Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka and Golnice.
Preparatory work began with tree felling, as well as clearing and opening up the route along its entire length. After the area was cleared, the contractor began earthworks on the section located in Golnice.
The work involves excavating the area covered by the investment and preparing the sub-base for the bituminous surface. The construction of the nearly 8.5-kilometre section will include not only the creation of an asphalt surface, but also the construction of cyclist service areas (MOR) with associated infrastructure, as well as the renovation of two bridge structures over which the pedestrian and cycling path will run.
According to the municipality, residents can plan their first trips along the newly built cycling path as early as the end of June 2026.
The total value of the investment is nearly PLN 13 million gross.
