– We responded to the expectations of students and, in cooperation with the county authorities, decided to open a new field of study: veterinary technician – says Wiesław Stefanik, head of the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych in Bolesławiec. The program will launch in September this year. Classes will be taught by a veterinarian, university lecturer, riding instructor and organizer of equestrian competitions all in one person. – We want to provide education at the highest level – Stefanik emphasizes.
– Our school also trains logistics technicians. In this area, we cooperate with the Międzynarodowa Wyższa Szkoła Logistyki i Transportu in Wrocław. I hope that, in the case of the new program, we will be able to obtain the patronage of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences – says the head of ZSHiU.
As part of their classes, future veterinary technicians will have the opportunity to obtain a category B driving licence and learn to ride horses. They will also complete internships at a stud farm and in veterinary clinics. – This is a very attractive and interesting offer. Bolesławiec has never before trained specialists in this field – emphasizes Wiesław Stefanik. – My daughter, a passionate animal lover, said that if such a program had been offered in her time, she certainly would have chosen it.
We will write soon about the new fields of study at the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych and the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych.
