In February this year, another technical meeting was held concerning the construction of the second stage of the Bolesławiec bypass. This is an important step in implementing the project, which is intended to improve transport links in the region.

At the beginning of 2021, the Dolnośląska Służba Dróg i Kolei signed an agreement to prepare the project, initiating intensive work on this strategic undertaking.

What will the new section’s route be?

The new 6.2-kilometre section will connect provincial road No. 297 with provincial road No. 94 toward the Krzywa interchange and with the existing south-eastern Bolesławiec bypass, leading to provincial road No. 363 toward Złotoryja. Importantly, the investment does not include areas located in Bolesławiec, including the allotment gardens on Staroszkolna Street, so residents can rest assured about their green spaces.

The bypass is not merely a new road, but above all a better connection to the A4 motorway for localities south and east of Bolesławiec. As a result, through traffic will be effectively diverted away from the city centre, which will certainly improve the safety and quality of life of its residents.

The total cost of the investment is estimated at approximately PLN 65 million, of which as much as 60% will be co-financed under the Government Road Development Programme, representing more than PLN 38.7 million in support.
