As reported by the Lower Silesian Police Headquarters in Wrocław:

On 13 and 14 February 2025, (...) Lower Silesian police officers carried out intensive operations aimed at locating and arresting people wanted on the basis of arrest warrants and orders to appear issued by Polish courts and prosecutors’ offices. More than 26,000 police officers took part in the operations across the country. During the operations in Lower Silesia, 177 people wanted on the basis of arrest warrants and orders to appear were arrested, including 17 citizens of other countries.

What was it like in our county?

Police officers in Bolesławiec County arrested five people, including two wanted on arrest warrants. – A 44-year-old resident of Gromadka Commune was hiding in a special room whose entrance was located in the floor and blocked by a table – reports junior inspector Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. – The man was wanted by the District Court in Lubań for driving while intoxicated and violating a court ban, and by the Bolesławiec court for abusing his family; in total, he has 15 months of imprisonment to serve.

A resident of Kraków was arrested in Bolesławiec. The 52-year-old was wanted by the District Court in Dzierżoniów for drug smuggling and will spend the next two years in prison.

In Gmina Nowogrodziec, officers arrested a man who was in workshop premises. The 40-year-old has six months of imprisonment to serve for a drug-related offence.

A pair of wanted people were arrested in Warta Bolesławiecka Commune. The man and woman were found in an old barn, where they had tried to hide from the officers. The 25-year-old was wanted on an arrest warrant. His record includes theft and driving while intoxicated; he will spend more than six months in prison. The 36-year-old woman, meanwhile, was sentenced to nine months in prison for fraud.
