Bolesławiec criminal investigators and officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, together with officers from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław, secured 6 machines and arrested 3 suspects as part of cooperation aimed at combating gambling. – After entering two premises located in the city, officers found 3 machines used for illegal gambling in each of them; a total of 6 machines were secured – reports Assistant Commissioner Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, the press officer of our District Police Headquarters. – In addition, 3 people suspected of aiding and organizing gambling on machines without the required license and without the prior registration of the devices were arrested.

The detainees are Bolesławiec residents: two men aged 51 and 37. The younger of them had already been convicted of offenses against property and the family.

The third person is a 33-year-old woman, from whom officers also seized two types of narcotics: nearly 100 portions of marijuana and 20 portions of methamphetamine. As a result, the suspect was the only one to hear two charges.

The detainee had previously been convicted of drug-related offenses and burglaries. Possession of narcotics is punishable by up to 3 years in prison.
