On Saturday, January 18, around noon, the Złotoryja traffic police stopped the extremely irresponsible driving of a 24-year-old resident of Zgorzelec on the A4 motorway. At one point, he was speeding in an Audi A3 at 208 km/h. – The man explained that he wanted to “blow off steam” and relieve stress and nervous tension by driving fast – explains Sub-Inspector Justyna Ejlak of the Złotoryja District Police Headquarters. – He was fined PLN 2,500 and received 15 penalty points for his reckless behaviour on the road. The police officers’ quick and decisive response prevented a potential hazard on the road, protecting other road users from the consequences of this young driver’s irresponsible driving.

Exceeding the speed limit is one of the greatest hazards on the roads, both for drivers themselves and for other motorists. At excessive speeds, drivers have less time to react, which can cause serious accidents threatening the lives and health of road users.
