The incident occurred on January 7, 2025, at approximately 7:14 a.m. – The duty officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra was notified that an artillery shell and 20 fuzes from World War II had been found in Piechowice, on Turystyczna Street – says junior inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.
She adds: – Until bomb-disposal specialists from the military unit in Bolesławiec arrived, the locations were secured by police officers from Jelenia Góra, including the bomb-disposal reconnaissance team of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.
