In this way, the city fountain was protected against accidental damage. During the winter months, the fountain is switched off and is therefore exposed to damage.
Let us recall that in the past the fountain was damaged by a car driver, who, while transporting a nativity scene, drove onto it and damaged the slabs.
The fountain now has a protective cover against this type of damage. It will be possible to walk onto the cover. As MZGM director Kazimierz Łomotowski informs us, the fountain will remain covered until spring.
