The incident occurred on Sunday evening, December 8, in Lwówek Śląski. As reported by lwowecki.info:
According to the officers’ findings, two young people were traveling on an electric scooter. The vehicle was being driven by a 17-year-old resident of Lwówek County, while his 15-year-old female friend was the passenger. The young man was wearing a helmet, whereas the teenager was riding without any protection.
Police determined that the 17-year-old failed to yield to a Volkswagen Jetta traveling with the right of way, driven by a 60-year-old man from Lwówek County. As a result of the collision, the scooter passenger hit her head on the car. The girl was taken to hospital. She suffered serious injuries requiring more than seven days of treatment, but her life is not in danger.
