– Police officers from the Criminal Department carried out intensified operations, joined by all uniformed officers, to locate wanted persons staying in Bolesławiec County – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. – Within one day, 9 men aged between 25 and 72 were arrested.

Two of those arrested were not residents of our county: one came from Trzebnica County and the other from Środa County. The spokesperson said: – One of the men was wanted under an arrest warrant by the Bolesławiec court for driving while intoxicated.

The most serious case involved a 47-year-old wanted by the District Court in Złotoryja, who was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison for causing a fatal traffic accident.

Two other wanted men had to serve one-year prison sentences for burglaries. Two people disregarded court decisions concerning fines, so substitute imprisonment was imposed on them. Paying the fines allowed those arrested to be released after the necessary procedures were completed. A resident of Bolesławiec County, meanwhile, was wanted by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw in connection with a fraud investigation.
