The suspect claimed that he was sober at the time of the incident but became frightened. Police: – His blood was taken for laboratory analysis. The result? The 22-year-old was charged with causing a road accident and failing to provide assistance to the injured person, for which he faces up to three years in prison.

The officers emphasize: – However, if it turns out that he was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs when the crime was committed—as will be established by the blood test and an expert opinion—the sentence will increase significantly.
