– Tonight, just before 3 a.m., a police patrol stopped a passenger vehicle with Czech registration plates for inspection on one of the streets of Bolesławiec. Behind the wheel was a 35-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters.

It turned out that the 35-year-old driver had violated two court-imposed bans, both issued last year. The court in Bolesławiec imposed a two-year ban on him, while the court in Zgorzelec imposed a three-year ban.

The spokesperson said: – The vehicle was handed over to a designated person, and the suspect will face charges for violating a court-imposed ban, which carries a penalty of up to 5 years in prison.

That was not the end of the matter. It also emerged that the car’s passenger was wanted by the Czech authorities.
