On 6 November, in the Mirsk municipality, officers from the Lwówek Śląski traffic police stopped a driver who had exceeded the speed limit by more than 50 km/h in a built-up area. The police said: The incident took place in the afternoon in Krobica, where the speed limit is 40 km/h.

They added:

The driver—a German citizen driving a VW vehicle—was travelling at 92 km/h, which constituted a serious violation of traffic regulations.

The result? The foreign national had his driving licence suspended for three months.

The officers appeal: Exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h in a built-up area not only results in the automatic suspension of a driving licence for three months, but also poses a real threat to the lives and health of road users.
