The incident occurred on Friday evening, 1 November, in the sports hall building at the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych on Komuny Paryskiej Street in Bolesławiec.
Three fire service units (including one with a ladder) and the police were at the scene. To enter the hall, firefighters had to break a pane of glass in the entrance door.
Preliminary information indicates that a battery in one of the devices located in the building may have caught fire. Thanks to the firefighters’ swift response, the fire did not spread.
No one was injured in the incident. The causes of the fire are being determined.
