As Bolesławiec officers report:

Since the establishment of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police, the competition has held an important place in the annual schedule of educational events. The entire project, including the competition, was held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec, Piotr Roman.

Traditionally, teams from fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade classes competed—a total of 19 teams. The organizers said: The competition covers a range of issues related to safety in the broadest sense, particularly road safety, as well as safe recreation for young people during summer and winter holidays or mountain trips, and the principles of providing first aid.

As in previous editions, the competition consisted of three parts:

  1. a multiple-choice test: 43 questions on safety,
  2. 15 questions on the principles of providing first aid,
  3. a practical task in the road traffic town.

Thanks to cooperation with the Wspierajmy Zdrowie Foundation, the first-aid tasks were assessed by paramedics from St. Luke’s Hospital: Emilia Piechocka and Bartłomiej Pankiewicz.

Results

Fourth-grade competition

  1. the Primary School No. 3 team from Bolesławiec, consisting of:

  3. Primary School No. 4.

Fifth-grade competition

  1. the Public Piarist Primary School team from Bolesławiec, consisting of:
    Aleksandra Makowska,
    Hanna Mazur,
    Julian Morański;
  2. Primary School No. 3;
  3. Primary School No. 5.

Sixth-grade competition

  1. the Primary School No. 4 team, consisting of:
    Maja Chmielowska,
    Hanna Rzeźwicka,
    Marek Mikutaniec;
  2. Primary School No. 1;
  3. Primary School No. 5.

A fifth-grade student from Primary School No. 5, Jerzy Stadnik, received a special commendation for completing the route in the road traffic town flawlessly.

The officers said: We extend our enormous thanks to Ms. Maria Subik, Principal of Primary School No. 4; Ms. Jolanta Rzeźwicka, Deputy Principal; and the staff for their kindness and for making available and preparing the gymnasium and road traffic town for the duration of our competition.

They also added: We also thank Emil Zając, president of the management board of the Social Building Society limited liability company in Bolesławiec, for supporting the competition by co-financing the purchase of prizes.Emilowi Zającowi.  

They further added:

For their involvement in organizing and conducting the competition, we would also like to extend our enormous thanks to the Wspierajmy Zdrowie Foundation for preparing and assessing the first-aid tasks and organizing a demonstration of professional assistance, which was greatly enjoyed by the participants. We sincerely thank the foundation’s president, Jolanta Sawczak, the foundation’s board member, Marek Stefanik, and the excellent jury comprising paramedics from St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec: Emilia Piechocka and Bartłomiej Pankiewicz.
