We described the problem with traffic on Kwiatowa Street on 6 September. The Reader then pointed out that the street is two-way, but cars parked along it significantly obstruct traffic.

As the Reader reported, situations are particularly problematic when drivers travelling from the direction of Orla Street try to continue in their lane even though a car is approaching from the opposite direction. In the Reader’s view, such situations come close to causing a collision.

Will there be a no-stopping restriction?

Because of the problem, the Reader asked the city to install a no-stopping sign on Kwiatowa Street.

In its response to the Reader, the city stated that the application of 2 September had been referred to the Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Commission operating within the Bolesławiec City Council, the Municipal Police and the District Police Headquarters.

These institutions are to issue the relevant opinions. Only after receiving them will the Reader be informed of the decision made.

We are waiting for the city office’s response

On 6 September, before publishing our report on the problem on Kwiatowa Street, we also contacted the Bolesławiec City Hall with questions about the situation on the street.

To this day, we have not received a response.

On 21 September, we sent the office a reminder asking it to respond to our inquiry.

Among other things, we want to determine how the city assesses the reported problem with traffic on Kwiatowa Street and whether solutions concerning parking and traffic organisation in this location are being considered.

As soon as we receive a response, we will publish it in an article.
