She adds: – After driving several kilometers, the driver ran off the road and drove onto a meadow. He was arrested moments later.

The driver turned out to be a 37-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, who was traveling with a 24-year-old female passenger. The spokesperson said: – A check of the databases showed that the driver was subject to a court-imposed driving ban and was under the influence of drugs. Police officers found bags containing marijuana and methamphetamine.

The BMW in question was taken to a parking lot, while the 37-year-old was taken to the Zgorzelec police headquarters. He now faces up to five years in prison.
