Officers from the Property Crime Division of the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters were working on a case involving the theft of car wing-mirror inserts. – The perpetrator operated in various parts of our city and in neighboring counties. The theft took him just a dozen or so seconds – explains Commissioner Jagoda Ekiert, press officer of the aforementioned Municipal Police Headquarters. – The officers working on the case identified a man suspected of these thefts. The 37-year-old was arrested in an apartment in Legnica County.
In the detainee’s apartment, detectives secured 70 wing-mirror inserts from various vehicles. The spokesperson said: – Based on the evidence collected, officers charged the detainee with 18 counts of property theft worth more than PLN 50,000.
The 37-year-old was placed under police supervision. He faces up to five years in prison.
