Bolesławiec County received a grant of PLN 849,939.94 under the “Cybersecure Local Government” grant project. The project is being implemented under the European Funds for Digital Development 2021–2027 (FERC), Priority II: Advanced Digital Services, Measure 2.2 – Strengthening the National Cybersecurity System.

The project involves increasing the cybersecurity of the County’s public services and e-services, raising employee competencies, and strengthening security within the organisation’s structure by implementing an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The project will be implemented in three key areas:

  • Task 1 – Organisational area: analysis, implementation and documentation of the ISMS at the office, as well as a final audit with a report.
  • Task 2 – Competence area: a series of training sessions on cybersecurity awareness and threats for all employees; a series of specialised ISMS training sessions for office management and IT employees; and cybersecurity training based on technological solutions for IT employees.
  • Task 3 – Technical area: purchase of software together with a dedicated server for backup systems; purchase and configuration of two servers with a storage array and UPS protection, as well as SQL licences; purchase of network switches; purchase of FortiGate and IT Manager licences; purchase of antivirus software with MDM for mobile phone management; and delivery and comprehensive implementation of a system for detecting and managing incidents, vulnerabilities and risk – SIEM.

The project will enable implementation of an Information Security Management System, employee training, and the purchase and implementation of cybersecurity equipment. This will result in increased protection against threats in cyberspace and improved employee ability to respond effectively to incidents.
