There are more and more mushrooms in the forests around Bolesławiec. There is no doubt that the so-called mushroom flush has begun. Readers report that currently the most abundant mushrooms in our region are parasol mushrooms (shaggy parasols and star parasols), boletes (porcini), scaber stalks (birch boletes) and slippery jacks. There are also pine mushrooms (bearded tooth mushrooms).

If you find a good spot, you can find anywhere from several to more than a dozen fruiting bodies. In some places there are so many mushrooms that you can fill a bucket or a large basket in a short time.

However, let us remember the golden rule: Pick only those mushrooms that we are certain are edible.

If you are not sure about a particular mushroom, it is better to leave it where it is or ask an experienced mushroom picker for help.
