On Thursday, September 26, inspectors from the Lower Silesian Road Transport Inspection, working together with inspectors from the Transport Technical Supervision, carried out joint operations aimed at checking the technical condition of trucks equipped with pressure equipment.

Inspectorate: “During the inspection at the 156th kilometer of the A4 motorway, a Polish carrier was stopped while carrying out domestic road transport of goods in a technically defective vehicle. The inspection revealed serious defects, including damage to the braking system of the tractor unit and a crack in the frame of the trailer.

It added: “It was also found that repairs to the trailer’s pressure tank had been carried out without TDT supervision and that it had additionally been modified unprofessionally.

That was not all. The inspectors said:

The defective truck was equipped with pressure equipment that did not have approval for operation, posing a serious hazard.

The result? It was decided to immediately remove the vehicle from traffic, and its registration certificates were seized. Wrocław WITD: “The driver was fined, while explanatory proceedings were initiated against the carrier and the diagnostician who allowed the vehicle onto the road despite the lack of the required approval for operation.
