The incident took place on September 21. – Before 2 p.m., the duty officer at the Zgorzelec police headquarters received a report about a man who had been stabbed. The incident occurred in one of the towns in Zgorzelec County – reports Superintendent Agnieszka Goguł, press officer of the local County Police Headquarters. – Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. They determined that a 41-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County had come to the victim’s garage and began threatening him. After a moment, he pulled out a knife and attacked, injuring the victim in the neck and arm.
The aggressor was arrested. It turned out that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

Based on the evidence collected, the 41-year-old has already been charged by the prosecutor with attempted murder, causing bodily harm, and five counts of making criminal threats.
The court remanded the attacker in custody for three months. The 41-year-old could face life imprisonment.
