– At the direction of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, on August 31, 2024, two people suspected of stealing six motorcycles and five people suspected of helping to conceal the vehicles were detained in Bolesławiec and Legnica counties and other locations in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship – prosecutor Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, reports.
She adds:
As a result of the searches, the stolen motorcycles, with a total value of PLN 512,655.00, were recovered. Investigators also discovered the body of a Porsche stolen in Germany, drugs in the form of 30.22 grams of methamphetamine and 1.7 grams of cannabis herb other than industrial hemp, as well as 42 rounds of 5.6 mm rimfire ammunition for PRONIT PIONKI sporting firearms, possession of which requires a permit.
Two suspects were brought to the Bolesławiec prosecutor’s office, where they were charged with jointly and by agreement taking property of considerable value. Both detainees are repeat offenders and therefore face up to 15 years in prison.
Spokesperson: – At the request of the District Prosecutor in Bolesławiec, the District Court applied pre-trial detention to both perpetrators for a period of three months.
The five other detainees will be held liable for helping to conceal the stolen motorcycles. The prosecutor: – 35-year-old Grzegorz C. was also charged with illegal possession of ammunition, psychotropic substances and narcotic substances.
These suspects were placed under police supervision and are also prohibited from contacting specified people.

The offenses with which they have been charged are punishable by imprisonment ranging from three months to five years and from one year to ten years (in the case of the suspect charged with possessing significant quantities of psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs).
The detentions are the result of a joint investigation by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec and the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, launched following a report by an Estonian citizen about the theft in Osła of six motorcycles he was transporting on a trailer.
The suspects are men aged 35 to 67 and one 24-year-old woman from Bolesławiec, Złotoryja and Legnica counties. Some had previously been convicted of similar offenses.
