23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment:
Saying farewell to a unit and garrison where a commander leaves his heart and a part of himself is not easy, and the emotions connected with it often stir many feelings. Bidding farewell to Colonel Krzysztof Malankiewicz, commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Colonel Rafał Grzywiński thanked the departing commander for his substantial, undeniable contribution and the soldier’s dedication he had shown while commanding the Bolesławiec artillerymen.
In his farewell speech, Colonel Malankiewicz thanked the unit’s soldiers and employees for the hard work and effort they had put into carrying out their duties:
A commander’s true test is whether he leaves behind people who are ready to take up his work and bring it to completion. Commanding the regiment was an honor for me and brought me a great deal of personal satisfaction. I am proud that I was given the opportunity to carry out the tasks set by my superiors together with my soldiers.
