Tragedy occurred near the Lubin airport.

The shattered window of the police car alarmed a couple walking nearby. What they saw when they approached the police vehicle was shocking. The 41-year-old officer from the traffic division of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin was dead; there was blood everywhere. The police officer had shot himself with his service weapon.

The investigation into the case is being conducted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubin. It concerns an act that may have involved driving the victim to suicide through incitement. Proceedings are ongoing. An autopsy has been performed.

The police officer had worked in the profession for 16 years; previously, he had worked in the traffic division in Legnica.
