– The incident occurred on August 25 on Tysiąclecia Street in Lubin. Police officers established that the suspect approached the 36-year-old victim, who was sitting on a bench – reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the Lubin KPP. – The men got into an argument. The 28-year-old then pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed the victim in the stomach, after which he fled.

The injured man was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery. His life is no longer in danger.

The 28-year-old did not enjoy his freedom for long. The spokeswoman said: – He was arrested by Lubin law enforcement officers immediately after the incident and taken to a police cell.

After the evidence had been collected, the suspect was brought to the prosecutor’s office. The police officer said:

He has already been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, an offense punishable by 3 to as many as 20 years in prison. Investigators are also examining the man’s involvement in drug distribution. The 28-year-old has appeared in police records in the past – including for possession of narcotic substances.

The court remanded the aggressor in custody for three months.
