In the morning, at the assembly square, the unit commander, Brigadier General Mirosław Downar, welcomed all Polish and foreign guests and thanked his soldiers for their exemplary service.

He also emphasized that the “Tenth” can always be relied upon, as the brigade’s soldiers form a well-coordinated team, ready for many sacrifices. The general also congratulated those promoted to higher military ranks, decorated and honored, and wished everyone a wonderful celebration together.

And he adds: – We were greatly pleased by the arrival of the general’s granddaughter, Ms Karolina Maczek-Skillen, who was present at the celebration.

And he concludes:

This year’s celebration was special because it was attended by soldiers of the armored brigade who will soon carry out tasks as part of the 10th rotation of the Polish Military Contingent UNIFIL Lebanon. They stood out during the ceremonial assembly, proudly marching past the reviewing stand in blue berets and sand-colored uniforms.

This year, representative subunits were also fielded by the Allies from the USA stationed at the Land Forces Training Area in Żagań, as well as by the 41st Armored Grenadier Brigade, our partner brigade from Neubrandenburg, Germany, and the Territorial Defence Forces Command, represented at the celebration by its former commander, Brigadier General Grzegorz Barabieda.

The guests’ wait for the subunits marching to the parade was made more enjoyable by a fireworks display and the release of helium-filled balloons in the brigade’s characteristic colors – orange and black. Military vehicles serving with the brigade also drove past the reviewing stand, along with the historic CENTAUR tankette, which came all the way from the Armored Weapons Museum in Poznań.
