Readers are sending us photos of fuel prices at various stations located both in our voivodeship and in Lubusz Voivodeship. Comparing the submitted prices with those in Bolesławiec, one can only become convinced that we live in a city of exorbitant fuel prices. Fuel prices in Bolesławiec are still much higher than, for example, in Legnica, Jelenia Góra, Lubin or Wrocław.
The difference ranges from 10 to as much as 60 groszy per litre of fuel. What is more, taking into account the comparison of prices in Poland, we can conclude that fuel prices in Bolesławiec are among the highest in the country. We encourage you to visit the Auto Centrum website, where you can track fuel prices in individual voivodeships.
In the middle of the past week, when the price at stations in Bolesławiec was PLN 6.51 per litre of 95-octane petrol, this fuel could be bought in Legnica for PLN 6.16. In the case of diesel, the price difference was even greater. When we paid PLN 6.67 per litre of diesel in Bolesławiec, it could be bought in Legnica for PLN 6.15.
On 7 August, an article about major fuel price drops at stations in Poland appeared on the Auto Świat website.
Among other things, it said:
The situation in which we pay the same for a litre of Pb95 and diesel is continuing. According to forecasts by e-petrol.pl analysts, from Monday, 5 August, the price was to be between PLN 6.31 and PLN 6.42.
And:
Orlen had already responded to falling oil prices on global markets the previous weekend. On Saturday, the Polish oil company lowered wholesale prices for both Pb95 petrol—by 4 groszy per litre—and diesel—by 2 groszy per litre. On Tuesday, 6 August, further, larger decreases followed: 9 groszy for Pb95 petrol and 8 groszy for diesel. Over the course of a month, from 6 July to 6 August, both fuels became 37 groszy cheaper.
Drivers in Bolesławiec may be very surprised, angry, and perhaps even amused by this information—because it is hard to know whether to laugh or cry. It appears that in Bolesławiec we live in a different fuel reality.
