On the portal, we described a situation in which a Ukrainian family was thrown out onto the street because they had not paid the rent. The police helped them find accommodation.
After the article was published, the owner of the apartment contacted us and described the ordeal she had gone through while renting out the apartment, as well as her attempts to help the family move out with as little stress as possible.
– I wanted to rent a hotel for these people. We found replacement accommodation for them so that they would move out, because they had run up enormous debts on the apartment. They did not even pay the bills that had been split into installments, and their gas was cut off – says the owner.
Despite the help offered in finding a new place to live, the tenants did not want to leave the apartment.
– This woman called me and said that she would leave the apartment at 4:00 p.m. So I came from my town near Bolesławiec; the woman had already packed, but said that she was not moving out after all. She kept recording me and provoking me into an argument – the owner recounts.
Ultimately, the tenants left the apartment, leaving behind enormous financial arrears and demolished rooms.
– The arrears amount to more than PLN 10,000. She left me nothing for the bills. There is a water bill of more than PLN 1,000 and almost PLN 2,000 for gas. I have no idea how much the electricity will be, because I have not been to Tauron yet – the owner lists the amounts. – The apartment is trashed and needs a complete renovation. In fact, they took everything away, including the teaspoons.
