The Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters on the ceremony:

On July 26, 2024, the ceremonial Bolesławiec celebrations of Police Day were held at the Old Theatre. Officers of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters received acts of appointment to higher service ranks from the First Deputy Commander of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police in Wrocław, Police Inspector Norbert Kurenda, and the District Police Commander in Bolesławiec, Deputy Police Inspector Tomasz Jagielski.

Representatives of local government authorities, uniformed services and institutions that cooperate with the Police on a daily basis attended the ceremonial assembly. Among the guests were, among others, Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak and Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman. The celebrations of Police Day were honored by the presence of the First Deputy Commander of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police in Wrocław, Police Inspector Norbert Kurenda.

During the assembly, acts of appointment to higher service ranks were presented. In total, 53 officers of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters were promoted. In addition, one Bolesławiec officer was awarded the Silver Medal for Long Service, granted by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, which the officer received during the provincial celebrations of Police Day. During the Bolesławiec Police Day celebrations, four civilian employees also received awards, as did officers recognized by local government officials.

In his speech, the District Police Commander in Bolesławiec, Deputy Police Inspector Tomasz Jagielski, thanked the officers for their daily readiness to provide assistance and their determination in fighting criminals, even at the risk of their lives. The head of the Bolesławiec officers emphasized how difficult, demanding and unpredictable the service is, referring to an intervention undertaken at the beginning of July this year by Bolesławiec district officers, during which one of the police officers was shot. Deputy Police Inspector Tomasz Jagielski also expressed his thanks to the civilian employees, whose commitment to their daily tasks ensures the efficient operation of the Bolesławiec unit, and to the families of the police officers who came in large numbers to the ceremony.

The officers also heard words of thanks and recognition from the local government officials present at the ceremony, who wished them safe service, good health and prosperity in their private lives.

The First Deputy Commander of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police in Wrocław, Police Inspector Norbert Kurenda, read out greetings from the Commander of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police in Wrocław, Police Superintendent Paweł Półtorzycki, and, on his own behalf, thanked the officers for their daily service for the safety of the residents of Bolesławiec County.
