The key event of the eighth round of the Zgorzelec basketball league was the match between TOP Bolesławiec and Citronex. TOP’s basketball players took emphatic revenge on their rivals for their defeat in the first round. After a very strong performance, they defeated Citronex 93–64.
The first two quarters of the spectacle were very even and did not suggest such a high TOP victory. However, the second half of the match was a genuine display of skill by the Bolesławiec players, who allowed their rivals to score just 28 points.
The best player of the game was Abramowicz, who, in addition to scoring 34 points, effectively contained Mikołajczyk, the league’s top scorer up to that point.
