On Tuesday, July 23, a young man was detained in Leśna. Lwowecki.info: – The detention was carried out by members of one of the foundations, so-called pedophile hunters, who immediately notified the police. Earlier, posing as a child, the foundation had been conducting a conversation with the 29-year-old.
The suspect was taken to the police headquarters in Lubań. The Lwówek outlet reported:
Preliminary findings indicate that, using social media, the man established contacts with what he believed were children.
– Using a social media platform, the man established contact with a profile featuring the image of a child under 15, and then, during the conversation, sent pornographic content to that profile, said to the Lwówek outlet asp. szt. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubań.
The police are investigating the case. The man has already been charged with attempting to show pornographic content to a minor and was placed under police supervision. This offense carries a sentence of up to three years in prison.
A negligible amount of narcotics was also found on the 29-year-old.
