The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 9, before 4 a.m. – The duty officer was informed that a young man had attacked two women at the PKP railway station in Legnica – reports Junior Asp. Anna Tersa of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica. – A police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene.
Police established that the 24-year-old resident of Miłkowice first attacked a woman who was going to travel by train. She was talking on her mobile phone. The man first snatched her phone and then hit the victim in the face several times.
That was not the end of it. The spokeswoman said: – Next, for no reason, he attacked the train manager. He grabbed the woman by the neck and began strangling her. Witnesses to the incident scared him away.
The police officers who arrived at the scene arrested the aggressor. Junior Asp. A. Tersa: – He was taken to police custody. He has already been charged with robbery and causing bodily harm, for which he faces up to 10 years in prison. He was also placed under police supervision.
