The incident occurred on Saturday, June 29.

Before 7:00 p.m., firefighters from Warta Bolesławiecka were dispatched to a branch hanging over the road in their locality.

The danger was removed; fortunately, no one was injured.

Windthrows are a phenomenon that can pose a problem in Poland, especially in forested areas and places where trees grow in the immediate vicinity of roads and areas where people stay.

Due to its climatic location, Poland frequently experiences strong gales, storms and snowfall, which can damage trees and shrubs, posing a threat to human life or health.

The removal of windthrows and uprooted trees is regulated by law, and obtaining an appropriate permit is required for their removal. In practice, these actions are intended to eliminate hazards; however, applicable legislation does not always authorize the swift removal of trees posing a threat, which can lead to complications.
