A tragic incident occurred on June 10, a few minutes after 5:30 p.m. – The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Jawor received information about a road accident that occurred at the 3.9-kilometer mark of the K3J road—the Bolków bypass – reports the press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Jawor, Warrant Officer Ewa Kluczyńska.Ewa Kluczyńska.
She adds:
Traffic police officers and an investigative team were immediately dispatched to the scene. Together with the prosecutor, a forensic technician, and an expert in road traffic and the reconstruction of road accidents, they carried out procedural activities.
What was established?
Preliminary findings indicate that a 53-year-old woman from Lwówek County, driving a Škoda, moved into the opposite lane for reasons not yet established and collided head-on with a correctly traveling Peugeot driven by a 67-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra.
The spokesperson:
The 57-year-old woman was transported by a Polish Medical Air Rescue crew from Wrocław to a hospital in Wałbrzych, while the 67-year-old man was taken by ambulance to a medical facility in Jelenia Góra.
The Peugeot driver died in hospital as a result of his injuries. Police and the prosecutor’s office are investigating the case.

Once again, we appeal to drivers to exercise particular caution on the road, and to act sensibly, soberly, and prudently. Remember to adjust your vehicle’s speed so that you can always react in time. Drivers must be aware that when they take to the road, they are responsible not only for themselves but also for other road users. Driving too fast or while intoxicated poses numerous risks to people who happen to be in a given place at a given time.
