The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Luban received a report concerning an aggressive man who was allegedly threatening his neighbors.

– District officers immediately went to the scene. After entering the apartment of the alleged perpetrator of the threats, the officers detected a strong smell of drugs, and the way the 42-year-old behaved led them to suspect that he might be under the influence of a potent substance – asp. szt. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer for the Lubań District Police Headquarters.

She added: – The officers decided to examine the matter thoroughly. While searching the premises, they secured two long firearms and 33 rounds of ammunition for which the man did not have a permit. They also found nearly 19 grams of hashish and approximately 27 portions of marijuana.

The detained man was charged with possession of narcotics and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
