Bolesławiec police officers, while at the scene of a collision in the Nowogrodziec municipality, were informed that a vehicle belonging to the reporting party had been hit in a nearby car park. The perpetrator was reportedly a driver under the influence of alcohol.

The suspicions regarding the 68-year-old’s sobriety were confirmed. Another patrol was called to the scene. Police officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec arrested the intoxicated driver and handed the vehicle over to its co-owner.
As it turned out, the perpetrator was drunk. The officers said: – A sobriety test of the resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality showed 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his system. The man will be held responsible for driving while intoxicated and damaging a parked vehicle.
Driving while intoxicated carries a sentence of up to three years in prison.
