At Jana Pawła II Street in Bolesławiec, an inclusive playground has been created. The new playground features equipment adapted to various types of disabilities—mobility, hearing and visual impairments. The equipment stimulates all of children’s senses and encourages them to experiment, discover the world and acquire new skills. Through experiments, children can gain knowledge in an interesting and engaging way, while spending their free time enjoyably and attractively.
What is at the new playground?
- sports zone—rope climbing net (“spider”), inclusive trampoline, small field for team games;
- educational zone—a set of educational boards, a set of tactile educational boards, a drawing board, sensory path;
- music zone—a set of outdoor musical instruments;
- toddler zone with space for prams—a set of inclusive sandpits, a set of inclusive swings (e.g. nest swing, pendulum swing), tube;
- play zone—an inclusive play structure, inclusive roundabout, pendulum swing for people with disabilities, weight swing for people with disabilities, surfer balance beam, hopscotch, “Follow Me” game.
The contractor is Civil Construction from Pabianice. The cost of the works is PLN 826,965. The construction received PLN 542,120 in funding from the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities. The remaining funds come from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
