The tragedy occurred on May 16, at around 6:10 p.m., in Jelenia Góra, on national road 3 toward Szklarska Poręba. Jelenia Góra police:
Preliminary findings indicate that, after an overtaking maneuver, the 41-year-old motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle for reasons that have not been established, fell onto the road and, propelled by momentum, struck a Toyota traveling in the opposite direction, driven by a 43-year-old resident of Karkonoski County.
The officers add: – As a result of the incident, the motorcyclist died despite receiving immediate assistance. The driver of the passenger vehicle was sober.
The police and prosecutor’s office are determining the causes and circumstances of the tragedy. Officers have issued an appeal:
