On 15–16 May 2024, exercises involving specialist technical rescue groups were held at the KiZPPS Osiecznica glass sand mine: SGRT “WROCŁAW 4” and SGRT “BOLESŁAWIEC”.

The aim of the exercises was to test the Provincial Rescue Plan in terms of organizing specialist rescue operations, improve the professional skills and knowledge of firefighters from fire protection units in specialist-level technical rescue, and practice cooperation between specialist groups.
The exercises were observed by Senior Brigadier Piotr Grzyb, deputy Lower Silesian provincial commander of the State Fire Service, and Senior Brigadier Andrzej Śliwowski, district commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec.
